Accommodation details

It is conveniently situated midway between the county town of Dorchester and historic port of Poole with Europe's largest harbour. The park is family-managed and carefully maintained and has direct access to woods and heathland offering walkers and cyclists varied routes and, for wildlife enthusiasts, opportunities to see many rare birds and animals. The park provides an ideal centre for easy exploration of Dorset's heritage.
 
Caravanning & Camping at Rowlands Wait

The park has a lot of character and the emphasis is on a very natural look with fine mature trees, mown grass and thick hedgerows. The pitches are best described as grassy and level to gently sloping. Some in shade and some open. Some with lovely views and some which are secluded. Electric hook-up is available only in the top part of the park, is a minimum of 10 amps and is charged for on a nightly basis. There are 48 electric hook-up points. The fields at the lower end of the park are for camping and group rallies. BBQ's are allowed so long as they are kept off the grass (so it doesn't get scorched) but open fires are not permitted. There is plenty of room for children to run and cycle around without disturbing anyone.

Welcome firstly to our Reception and Shop where you will initially book in. From here you can obtain any information about the park, the surrounding area and general tourist information. In the shop we stock basic provisions plus daily supplies of newspapers, fresh milk and bread. We offer a calor gas & camping gaz exchange and a freezer block exchange service. Dogs kept on a lead and under control are welcome. There is also a daily postal service.
 
The clean modern amenity building has hot showers which are included in the price, wash hand basins, hair dryers, razor points, plus a Launderette with washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing and wash facilities. Large covered washing up area with recycling point. Covered games room with table-tennis, pool table, waste water & chemical disposal point. The children’s play area with swing and mini assault course is ideal for younger children. If that doesn't wear them out, then bring their bikes - there's plenty of safe cycling around the park itself.
