This semi detached barn conversion located on the edge of Charminster village is under two miles from the historic town of Dorchester. Decorated and furnished to a very high standard, this property boasts a stylist mix of period features and modern amenities such as original beams and three en-suite bedrooms. This well-equipped cottage is set in an excellent position and makes an ideal base from which to explore Dorset and Wessex. Free range hens and sheep graze in the surrounding fields and eggs are readily available to purchase on site. There are a number of local footpaths to discover whilst the village itself is perfectly positioned for taking advantage of the superb surrounding countryside and walks.

Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 42” plasma screen colour TV with full cinema surround sound and Freesat, DVD player, CD player/cassette/radio etc. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels (not tea towels) inc. in rent. Travel cot, highchair and baby bath available. Off road parking for 3 cars. Patio area with garden furniture, leading via steps to lawned area and garden shed (must bring own padlock). Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 10 mins walk, pub 1 mile. Note: There is a raised pond to the front of the property. Young children must be supervised. Note: 28th July - 11th August 2012 charged at £1235 per week (inclusive of £35 booking fee) due to Olympic Games.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the 'Winter' period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.

Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the 'Low' and 'Mid' periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.

'Last Minute Breaks' (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the 'LOW', 'MID', 'HIGH', 'PEAK', 'XMAS' and 'NEW YEAR' periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

The property was spacious and we liked the fact that all bedrooms had en suite. It was also a good base from which to see the area.
