Monkey World, The Bovington Tank Museum, Corfe Castle and the famous Lulworth Cove on the spectacular Dorset coast, are all just minutes away. For the more adventurous, the A35 connects Bere Regis to the extensive shopping and entertainment facilities of Bournemouth and Poole in just half an hour.

The Royal Oak's relaxed atmosphere, friendly, hassle-free service combine with newly-refurbished bedrooms & a pretty location at the edge of an historic Dorset village to give you a perfect place to stay in the midst of timeless Hardy country. All of the beautifully appointed rooms are named after towns from Thomas Hardy Novels and are en-suite. Each is furnished with a colour television, tea / coffee making facilities & a hair dryer. Trouser presses and irons are also available. A wi-fi internet connection is also available.

Our menu offers a wide variety of choice for the smallest of appetites to the hungriest. Chose from our Light bites/ Sandwiches & salads menu or from our main meals menu offering traditional pub lunches freshly prepared with the finest ingredients. We also have a children’s menu with healthy options for the little ones. Check out the daily specials board featuring great home cooked speciality dishes prepared by our chef.
 
Functions
 
Another feature of The Royal Oak Hotel is its converted coach house stables, which house a bar, function room and traditional skittle alley. The timber beamed building has all its original character, with double doors that open out onto a courtyard and outside seating area. It is ideal for: Parties, Wedding Receptions, Business/group Meetings and Private Functions. The use of a built in house Video projector is also available.
