Mark Tilbrook, Staff and resident Ghost would like to welcome you to the Ship Inn Freehouse in Shaftesbury. At the Ship they offer a wide variety of real ales, ciders, lagers and wines. They don't cook food on the premises but are in partnership with local restaurants who deliver.
The ship has 4 bars. Apart from the main bar they have a games room with pool, darts, fruit machine and an awesome juke box. They have a snug where you can relax in front of an open fire or if you prefer things a bit more modern you can chill out in their newly refurbished lounge bar. Outside they have an area to sit in the sun or shelter in our covered smoking area.
They now have Sky Sports on two giant HD screens.
During the day and early evening you can enjoy a peaceful relaxed pint and some honest home cooked food in this beautiful, eccentric old building but later in the evening things start to get a bit more lively, especially at the weekends. They don't shut early.
